Come visit us on Sunday mornings!
Services start at 10.30 am. We love late people, early people, and everyone in-between!
Services normally finish by 12pm but they can vary. If you need to leave early no one will mind.
Your kids are very welcome at Leyland Road! Come on in to the main church at the start of the service. There is an open area with toys at the back on the right-hand side. Don’t worry about the noise, we were all children once!
If they want to, after the first ten minutes the children will leave to join their different groups. Here’s where they can go:
- Our crèche – in the room under the left balcony is for children aged from 2 to 4 years.
- Young Altitude, for ages 4-10 features videos, creative bible stories, games and craft.
- Teen Altitude, for ages 11-16 features hot chocolate, fun and discussions. also look out for the Altitude Teen Breakfast on the Events page.
If your children want to take part then just let one of the stewards know at the start of the service and we’ll make sure that they are looked after and know where to go.
If you need a bit of time out during the service, the welcome lounge at the back has a live video feed from the church so you don’t need to miss a thing. It includes toys, and toilets with changing facilities.
Most people are surprised how friendly our church is.
After the service, we serve tea, coffee and biscuits in the welcome foyer. If you like chatting and meeting people we would love to get to know you better.
If you are a little shyer we promise not to single you out or embarrass you. We just want you to feel comfortable and welcome in our church family.
Look out for the cake! We are always looking for excuses to eat.
If you are new to Southport and/or Leyland Road Church and would like to know more about us just introduce yourself to one of our stewards or the minister. Our pastoral team can arrange to visit you if you would find that helpful.
Most people dress in a casual style so there is no need to bring out your Sunday best!
Wear what you would for a relaxed meal out with the family or a trip to the cinema.
We believe that God made us in all shapes and sizes and we try to make our services accessible to everyone. The church building has ramps on all entrances. There is an accessible toilet in the welcome foyer. Wheel chair users can get all round the church, including getting to the communion table. A hearing loop is provided. We especially welcome people with dementia and learning needs, including their carers and family. If you need any help at all when you are with us, just ask a steward.
We are on the the corner of Leyland Road, Roe Lane and Manchester Road opposite the Spar petrol station and shop. You can’t miss us! See below for a map.
